Welcome to the Homepage of Sebastian Scherer

AeroscoutWelcome to my homepage at Carnegie Mellon University. Here you will find information about  research in Robotics and about myself. I am currently a graduate student in Robotics and my advisor is Sanjiv Singh.. I am from a town called Lenggries in Bavaria,  Germany.

Motion planning for autonomous robots is an interesting and challenging problem that I am trying to address in my research. I am working on obstacle avoidance for unmanned aerial vehicles and ground vehiclces. Machine learning techniques can be used to simplify many of the task required to get a robot to run. Therefore I am also interested in learning how to avoid obstacles by observing human behavior.

Thank you for visiting my homepage. Also see my homepage at the Robotics Institute.
